Woolworths recently trialled a small store format for two of its stores in East Sydney and Newtown. Robertson's Building Products was proud to provide a custom blend of its red rustic thin brick facing tiles for feature walls across the freezer and fresh food sections, as well as a combination of white and black glazed brick facing tiles for its bakery and deli.
While the custom red rustic thin brick facing tiles were adhered in a brick bond, the glazed thin brick facing tiles were set in a stack bond. The glazed tiles used an epoxy grout that met food service health and hygiene requirements.
The design also features many columns, highlighting the clever use of Robertson's Building Products' custom L-shaped corner pieces, resulting in an authentic looking brickwork.
The result is eye catching, incorporating the Woolworths logo on the walls. The good news is, feedback from both customers and management has been extremely positive.
